Childcare at St. Chad's
The Nursery at St. Chad’s is open to children from 0 — 4 years of age from 8
to 12:15 PM every Sunday. Our director, Leanne Smith, has experience
with child-rearing, required training from the Episcopal Diocese, a cupful of
loving kindness, and she is first-aid/CPR knowledgeable.
We offer a variety of activities for the infants, toddlers and older children
including music time, story time, puzzles, coloring, play with blocks, vehicles and other toys.
When weather permits, we may take the children to the playground beside
the sanctuary for some fun. We have
snacks, water, milk and juice available if parents would like us to feed their
children.
Diaper bags are encouraged for children through potty-training age.
We have high-chairs and booster seats available to the parishioners with
children. They can be removed from the nursery and used in the parish hall during breakfast.
We ask that parents please tidy them up and return them to the nursery when finished.
Parents are welcome to stay with their children in the nursery until they are more
comfortable with their surroundings. We ask that any toy donations be delivered to
the Christian Education office so that we may ensure that no choking hazards or recalled
items are left in the nursery for infants and young children.
We hope to see you soon!
